Snow – Day 2
I’m not one to stay at home for days straight. These two are compounding my anxiety. I need to go for a walk or something, but I don’t own any boots.
The upside of today was Mason’s 2 and 1/2 hour nap. He likes to nap. I like it when he naps.
I was experimenting with the flash this morning, hence the devilish looking pictures of the children.
Snow
We’re at a stand still. We’re already wondering if I’m going to be able to go to work on Monday. There’s about 6 inches of snow on the ground and underneath that a sheet of ice. It’s not supposed to warm up around here until Monday. I do not like being stuck in the house for days straight.
On the other hand, it is quite beautiful outside.
Mason’s Birthday
Mason’s Pirate-themed birthday party was a hit. Chick-Fil-A puts on a wonderful kid’s birthday party. The cow even visited. Mason had a really good time. Hard to believe the little guy is already three. We’re starting to look at Charter schools for Violet for next year. Kindergarten is upon us.
Mason
Mason turns three in two days, and pooped on the potty for the first time today! We’ll celebrate with this picture of Violet.
Florida – Day 2
Day two of the Florida vacation, consisted (partly) of a walk to the park. A brand new, beautiful park, within walking distance of my father’s house.
The day first began with Mason waking up WAY too early. Dad was nice enough to sit with him for a bit.
Florida Trip – Part 1
We took a LONG road trip to Florida last week. What was supposed to be 12 hours on the way down turned in to, at least, 16 hours. Horrible accident on the way down shut down the interstate for two hours, we were stuck in traffic, moving about 5 miles an hour, for about four hours. But, we made it, the kids did great, no major fights in the car.
Once there we had one of numerous birthday parties for Mason. Turning three in just a couple weeks, I can hardly believe it.
We had cupcakes and the traditional off-key singing of “Happy Birthday”. A year later and that kid still loves to blow out candles.
He also got a haircut. Isn’t he just the cutest thing ever?
We also did a little Christmas gift opening for the kids. Grandma Ellen didn’t know it when she bought, but Violet had been begging and pleading for a Princess sleeping bag.
Photography
I’ve been working on a new website all day. A way to advertise the fact that I am thinking more seriously about my photography. Check it out, click on the logo below…
Legos
She had a very elaborate story as to why the kitten is behind the window. Unfortunately, I don’t remember that story…
