One of the major plusses to moving to North Carolina with my family three years ago was the opportunity to see him more often.  I didn&#8217;t get to see him enough.</p>

<p>He was the most thoughtful and caring person, even without having the words he once had.  He had started to lose his memory a few years before I got here.  When we would go to see him he wouldn&#8217;t remember our names, but he would remember our faces and always give us a big smile.  We would go to lunch, we would sit and chat about things, or he would just smile at the kids.</p>
