We got the wall up. We did it in sections. Four 10 foot sections. We eyeballed it and I think we’re within an inch of being perfectly square. I can take that.

The picture makes it look the wall isn’t perfectly straight up and down, but it is. We haven’t nailed it up at the top yet, so we have room to wiggle. I tell you what, I have a tremendous sense of accomplishment today. Makes me want to keep working up there, I just have to figure out what to do next. Dad saw a bluebird go in to the mailbox/birdhouse tonight. That solves the mystery of what the little babies are that I see everyday when I pick up the mail.

Those bluebirds sure are blue.

We all went for a walk tonight. Without Violet holding me back, we made it all the way down to the end of the cul-de-sac and back. She gets bored about 1/3 of the way down the street most of the time and is begging to go back and ride her bike. When we got back Mason did a little yard work.

Turns out when you nail forty feet of wall together, it takes more than two unskilled people to lift the wall up.

So, now I have forty feet of wall framed out, but have to figure out how to get it in the upright position. I’ll figure it out, probably with the Dan Fraley hotline. I’ve been calling Uncle Dan every few minutes today with one silly question, or another. He’s very patient.

Colleen’s in Cleveland, so I’ve been upstairs with dad working on the attic. We have half of the wall I need to build done.
