My favorite pictures of Mason are right after he wakes up.

Mason doesn’t get to play with the “people” very often, so when he get the opportunity he makes the most of it.  He tries, occasionally, to play with Violet and Me (or Violet and Mom), but doesn’t quite get the whole “group play” concept.

Violet and Mason started school last week.  No, we don’t have any first day of school pics (that day ended up being quite hectic), but we do have this note from Violet’s teacher.  How sweet is that?

Last week, I accidentally killed a lizard thing.  It was a horrible accident involving the trunk of my car.  I feel horrible.  Later in the week, I replaced the tires on my car for $300.  I was driving home feeling good about how well the car was driving.  I picked up the kids from the sitter and a mosquito got the in the car.  I went to kill it and missed, but did a number on the windshield.  I think it was karma.

Mason trying on his clothes for his first school picture.  Hopefully he’ll wear them correctly in the picture for school.

I attempted to clean up the toys last week, which meant bringing all of the toys in to the living room and trying to organize them.  They really don’t have that many toys, but every toy they do enjoy has, at least, ten parts.  It sent me over the edge.  I stared at that stuff for four and a half hours, then Colleen came in the room and put everything back in bins so I wouldn’t have to look at it.

Speaking of Colleen, she’s going back to school.  She’s taking one class this semester, “Developmental Psychology”, and doing very well.  She’s going to be an elementary art teacher by the time Mason is in kindergarten.

Mason got in to the kitchen before I did last Sunday and got himself a snack.
