Welcome to Hell
Before I got home today, Violet was running around the house saying, “Welcome to Hell! Welcome to Hell! Welcome to Hell!” Colleen couldn’t figure it out. The night continues, Colleen tries to get her to repeat it to me, presumably so I wouldn’t think Colleen was making up such a crazy story. Violet wouldn’t repeat herself.
Later in the evening, after dinner, after Mommy has gone in to the bedroom for a well-deserved break from the crazy people, Violet turns to me and says, “Let’s play Hell!”
“WHAT?!?”
“Let’s play Hell!”
A few minutes later I walk in to the living room and see this:
“Welcome to Hell, Daddy!”
We’ve been watching Ratatouille alot lately.
Turns out, after Remy “makes” the soup that a restaurant critic likes, the chef character (Skinner) tells the protagonist character (Remy), “Welcome to Hell!”
Violet’s really been liking chefs lately. She just wanted to play like she was a chef, all very innocent.
