Big changes in the Beesley household this week. We bought a car booster seat for Violet, she just meets the criteria for sitting in the booster seat. Way to go, Violet, saving your parents money. Mason has graduated from his rear facing infant seat to finally facing forward. If you haven’t noticed he’s a bit on the smallish side, takes the little guy a while to catch up on things here and there.
He’s really in to peek-a-boo lately. He puts his hands over his eyes and then peeks out. He gets silly-giddy when he sees you. He calls peek-a-boo, “Double-U”. He’s really good at “Mommy”, he says “Da” on occasion. That’s a reversal from Violet, who said, “Da” for months before she said “Ma”.
It’s almost time for our trip up to the “mountains” to visit Grandpa and Grandma at the cabin. That couldn’t come soon enough. It’s 8:00 at night and 94 degrees. That’s just wrong. Violet is going to get her first ride on a horse. Uncle Tim has a horse that is just her size, he says. So, it’s time. She’s been on ponies a few times and really liked it.
Mason has really begun to dig feeding himself. There is no more feeding him. That’s a good thing, but at the same time it’s depressing us a bit. They really are both growing up so quickly. We find ourselves holding on things just because we don’t want to see them get older. He really enjoyed the Fettucini that Colleen made tonight. He ate his serving, plus the bowl we fixed for Violet that she refused.
