My Birthday
I have a wonderful family.
We woke up early. I mowed some of the yard. Colleen got the ribs ready for me to grill. I’ve never grilled ribs before, I don’t grill much. They turned out rather tasty. Colleen was told a couple of time the potato salad she made was the best ever. Pretty successful day.
We had a nice visit with Dad and Ellen, then a friend of mine from work came over and brought his family. We shared Colleen’s wonderful birthday cake with them.
Mason had his own plate of ribs.
Violet went for a swim. She did pretty well today, she spent at least half of the time in the pool with her swimsuit on until she needed to skinny dip.
All in all it was a very good day. The kids kind of grate on your nerves by the end of a day like today, but you get through it, they fall asleep, and the rest of the night you can relax.
