Violet and I went out tonight. We went to the Brassfield Baptist Church because they were going to have a Bluegrass and Gospel Pickin’ Session. We didn’t go in, there were only seven cars in the parking lot. That and Violet fell asleep in the car right as we pulled up. It was 7:15, pretty close to bed time. Oh well, daddy doesn’t get to see the live music he was once accustomed to, but he’s totally fine with it. I even was planning on going to a show after the kids fell asleep last Monday and by the time they fell asleep I had forgotten all about it.
We pulled out the tool set that Gramma Hunny got Violet a while ago. We felt that she was old enough to understand that she can’t beat Mason with the hammer. She still beats him with the hammer, but at least we can tell her “NO!” and she gets it.
She’s not been much for falling asleep lately, so every once in a while she’ll fall asleep in awkward positions.
We were at the park today and she was playing with one of those shovel things in the sand. This girl walks past Violet, and Violet says, “I like your shirt, do you want to play?” It was one of the cutest things I have ever heard anyone say ever in my life.
She’s going to have a Blue’s Clues themed birthday party here in a month. She’ll be three years old. She thinks both Joe and Steve will be coming to this party, as well as Jack Johnson, Mike Doughty, and Beck.
Oh, and I think I have pink eye, what do you think? Do I?
