Every year at this time I am reminded of one of my favorite stories by David Sedaris. He tells the story of being in France, being with a very diverse group of foreigners, and learning the French language. They discuss Easter. It’s funny, you should read the story.
Mason is a junkie. His drug of choice – bubbles. He can’t get enough of them. It’s an unhealthy obsession. Once he starts, there is no way the episode will end well. There is no good way to get him to stop once he’s started.
Violet woke up Sunday morning to discover that the “Easter Bunny” (you should really read that David Sedaris story) left plastic eggs in her room that were filled with chocolate and/or Spiderman stickers. That’s such a strange way to remember that Christ died for our sins. Whatever, I didn’t make up the rituals, I’m only obligated to continue with the myth until the young one is old enough to realize it’s all a crazy sham.
My issue with getting a decent picture of Violet was briefly overcome this weekend. Aren’t these some nice ones of her?
