Toy Monkey
When the Toy Monkey (capitalized because that is now his legal name) is happy he now emits this high pitched squeal that makes my ears bleed. I’ve mentioned before that he is normally, always happy. The high pitched squeal happens on a very regular basis. I think I’ve mentioned in just about every post of this new blog that I am sick. This sickness has been accompanied by an earache and that earache has only been amplified by the high pitched squeal.
In my previous post I noted that Colleen and I are deathly ill. That was an overstatement of the truth. We are sick, but not sick enough to warrant your pity. We will get over this and be stronger for it. Or I will go on a crazed rampage because I’ve been coughing since January.
In Violet news, potty training has been a huge success. She goes most days without an accident. She used the big toilet on an outing yesterday, a first. Violet spent the day playing with Play-Dough, painting, coloring with markers, and trying to control the urge beat Toy Monkey with her stuffed cat, Daisy. The urge is controlled only by me yelling, “DON’T BEAT MASON WITH YOUR DAISY!”, taking the cat away, and listening to her cry because I took her cat away.

Prayers are going out tonight for Uncle Lou!
